Welcome to our brainFIT blog. Our goal is to provide you with a journey into the workings of your brain, and how to optimise it’s potential at every stage of your life, and for every part of your life – personal and professional.

In today’s fast moving…demanding…post-information age world, we can simply no longer underestimate the need for us to optimize our thinking capabilities.

Our more traditional, logical thinking capacity needs to shift and learn to be freer and more open to creative and ‘out of the box’ thinking unlike any time before. AND we need to understand and create optimum brain health to prevent and counter the natural decline of our brain’s functioning capacity.

Luckily, in support of this paradigm shift we are experiencing an unprecedented acceleration in our learning about the nature of the human brain and our ability to consciously change and rewire it.

Those who are engaging with and riding this new wave of knowledge are the ‘neuro-producers’, the ‘neuro-leaders’ of today and the ‘neuro-survivors’ of the future.

Enabling participation in the imagination age requires a never-before demanded level of brain education, productivity and energy – it requires a High Performance Brain!

The journey to a High Performance Brain involves five major areas of focus:

1.  Creating a brain enhancing  ENVIRONMENT

2. NOURISHING your brain

3. Developing brain CAPACITY

4. Exerting CONTROL over your brain

5. Working at PEACC brain performance (you’ll have to wait to see what PEACC stands for!!)

In the initial blogs I will also be looking at why we need to focus on cultivating a high performance brain, no matter what age we are, and breaking down some of the myths that surround the human brain and it’s functioning!

And finally, most blogs will provide you with some ideas for focus and exercises to do for the fortnight that will move you forward in cultivating YOUR high performance brain.

Congratulations on signing up for this journey….see you in two weeks when we will begin the journey by understanding what brain fitness and a high performance brain really is…and please feel free to invite your friends to join in.
